HEADS UP TO THOSE OF YOU WHO HAVEN'T BEEN PAYING ATTENTION!
It's a well-known story among Paul supporters. Mitt Romney and the current GOP “establishment” have been rigging the election. If Romney's actual voter support had been anywhere near Ron Paul's, mass media would have had a leg to stand on in its early declarations that the race is over and Mitt Romney will be the nominee. But the rigging process is still in high gear.
The story of this year's Republican nomination process is one of corruption. Entry and exit polls differed widely from vote counts reported by local and state GOP officials. Caucus goers and participants in the delegate selection process got a close up view of the rigging process. It didn't matter which way the votes actually went. Mitt Romney was given what he needed.
GOP officials broke rules, substituted delegates, misrepresented vote-counts, and simply declared their choices accepted without recognizing objections according to the rules. Much of it was done right in front of the participants and a good deal of it was video-taped and spread via the Internet. You can watch officials railroad their lists of Romney delegates, steal a ballot box and run out the back door before results are officially tallied, and declare state conventions closed before their business is conducted; among other “shenanigans”. You can even watch an interview with a Ron Paul supporter who needed hospital treatment after being roughed up by Romney thugs as he properly took the floor after “establishment” officials lost their reelection bids.
What happens when a ballot box gets stuffed, you might wonder? And what happens to all those votes cast for candidates that have since dropped out; especially those cast by people who strongly opposed the now “presumptive nominee”?
There is a backup process. The election of delegates is a separate election, not a selection based directly on reported vote counts in what are often called “beauty contests.” Delegates are elected, and quite often not based on a promise to support a particular candidate. Instead, they often run on their own political beliefs and positions, just as the candidates whose fate they will ultimately decide. In properly operated selection processes, this has heavily favored Ron Paul over Mitt Romney.
It actually worked effectively to cancel out some of effect of media bias and misreported vote-counts. It also helped preserve the strong anti-Romney “not-Romney” votes cast for other candidates.
Even though Ron Paul (as well as assorted anti-Romney voters) have already been cheated out of a large number of delegates, the process to replace them with Romney supporters is still going on.

Many people can state some of the more important consequences of the strangeness. The Constitution is no longer respected as fundamental law. The USA is no longer a “nation of laws” at all. The system of checks and balances has collapsed and power has been centralized in the presidency. The Political Class issues arbitrary dictates, violating fundamental rights, from which they are routinely exempted. They create, maintain, and favor their own enterprises with political power and public funds while crippling competition with regulation and taxes. They misrepresent circumstances and manufacture imaginary crises in order to grant themselves additional power and huge sums from the public treasury. When their enterprises fail, they grant themselves money to bail themselves out. They continuously engage in foreign military adventurism for which there is no clear purpose of national defense. Public spending is out of control, public debt is beyond reason, the nation's overall economic status is falling rapidly while the political problem continues to grow.The legitimacy of the sitting president has been in question for quite some time. It seems that he is not legally qualified, but that concern is nefariously discounted. His party's use of publicly funded “community organizations” (such as ACORN) to engage in election fraud is widely known. In the 2008 Democrat primaries, state delegate counts were openly manipulated in favor of the ultimate winner (Florida, for example), while accusations were made that vote rigging took place against him as well (New York City, in Hillary Clinton's newly adopted home state for example). In my old Republican leaning home state of Indiana, Barack Obama “won” in the general election against John McCain without having had enough legitimate signatures to have been placed on the ballot.Through the cameras, research, and testimony of primary / caucus participants and others, we have seen the strangeness in the Republican nomination process this year as well. How does the least popular candidate prevail over the only candidate that garners mass public support? Rules were changed, participants were bullied, delegate slates were railroaded and summarily posted, delegate vote counts were falsely reported, elected opposition delegates are not being officially recognized. There is a wide disparity between popular vote counts reported by local party officials and entry / exit polls conducted to check their accuracy, which is also reflected in the properly elected delegates disproportionately favoring the official (yet more popular) loser.The intended winner of the Republican nomination, Mitt Romney has been labeled the “presumptive nominee” for quite some time. Mass media called it long before there was any statistical reason to do so and continued a steady push for the “presumed” winner through temporary interest in a string of “not Romney” candidates, diluting the effect of his opposition. The only serious candidate for the nomination, the one with public support, was ignored, maligned, and publicly marginalized; while nonetheless continuing to do as well or better than the “presumptive nominee” in national match-up polls against Barack Obama. When the distraction candidates had all dropped out, leaving only that one serious competitor behind, media declared Mitt Romney the winner, several times going so far as to falsely report that Ron Paul had dropped out as well.What is at stake in this election? Everything and nothing. What is at stake in selecting the person who will hold the most powerful political position for the next four years? Everything. The fate of the nation hangs in the balance. What influence will voters have in directing the fate of the nation? None. As the election process unfolds, honest reporters will focus on competing fraud machines in a competition that doesn't matter; while more and more Americans begin to wonder whether there is any way to take the country back.

It is hard to be a voter in this country when you have only two real choices when it comes to most political offices. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama are no exception and there are many reason why both political parties are really the same and have similar end goals, just different ways of achieving those goals.
The New York Times recently made a less than half-hearted attempt to summarize the similarities between President Barack Obama and presumptive Republican Party nominee, Mitt Romney. As New York Magazine reports, the Times wasn’t able to do much better than: They both like Star Trek, Modern Family, and Chicken. Here at IVN, I thought we could find just a few more similarities of just a little more substance.
The recent Reason-Rupe poll finds that 80% of Americans say they would or might consider voting for an Independent or third-party presidential candidate in the 2012 election. Specifically, 60% said they would consider voting for an independent or third-party candidate, 20% said they might consider, 17% said they would not consider, and 3% said they did not know whether they would consider voting for an Independent or third-party presidential candidate.

Now that I have your attention let me explain who we believe Mitt Romney should pick as his Vice Presidential running mate.
Names have been floated around like wildfire the past couple of weeks of potential VP picks for the Republican nominee, but one has failed to be mentioned as a possible and most logical pick....Rand Paul.
Senator Paul gives Romney a few things he needs in order to win the Presidency and if he fails to pick Paul he might be sealing his fate on any chance of winning the Presidency.
Paul gives Romney the following advantage:
1. He is Ron Paul's son and a lot of people voted for Paul and would be more comfortable voting for Romney in light of his imperfections.
2. He brings the center in; especially a lot of fiscal conservative Democrats.
3. He is young and probably the next big thing in the liberty movement in this country.
Romney is under pressure from the Republican establishment to make a pick that they are satisfied with. Names like Rubio, Pawlenty, Rice, and Jindal are being floated because they have been "good" Republicans. Rand Paul has a set of beliefs that will not change because the party leadership says they should and that is not popular with the Republican establishment.
Rand Paul is the smart choice for Romney, but the chances of him being picked are very slim because he is the smart choice. Romney will probably cow tow to the establishment and pick one of the top names being floated, but if he wants to win there is only one choice:

In 2008 I casted my vote not for John McCain and not for Barack Obama. I voted for the Libertarian candidate Bob Barr and I might be on the verge of voting for the Libertarian candidate Gary Johnson.
My challenge to you is to convince me as to why I should vote for Mitt Romney. There are only two stipulations:
1. No answers like "Obama is worse"
2. I need answers that speak to principle

The dust has settled on a very controversial Supreme Court case that dealt with a President's signature piece of legislation and a very angry American public. Many would assume that the President achieved a big victory and came out a big player in Washington were his power has doubled; but there is somebody else that has become the most powerful person in Washington and many don't know anything about the man.
The most powerful person in Washington is now the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court John Roberts.
The Conservative Anger
In 2005 Presiden George W. Bush nominated John Roberts to be the 17th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court. Many conservatives were elated by the pick as a homerun and felt they now had a solid person on the bench that would tow the party line and bring them everything they had wished.
If anyone had payed attention to the recent health care ruling you would think that John Roberts had committed treason to his party and country. Many conservatives believe they had the health care case in the bag and when Roberts allegedly switched his vote they felt betrayed.
However; many Conservatives missed the intention of the ruling and focused on the fact that the court didn't completely strike down the individual mandate. They miss the fact that Roberts orchestrated the biggest election issue of the 2012 season. The mandate was struck down under the commerce clause, but upheld as a taking power. If you pay attention to the news and the campaign now you will see how this distinction has put both Romney and Obama into a tailspin.
Both camps are now dealing with the fact that the law that Obama supported and Romney "crafted" (Massachusetts) is one of the most unpopular laws in recent history. Roberts made sure that it was understood that we must face our mistake of who we elect and can't rely on the court to solve all of our bad problems that we put ourselves into.
The Liberal Anger
Most would assume that the liberals were happy with the decision by Roberts on the health care ruling, but they too are going crazy on two fronts. First, they know that Roberts is not one of theirs. Secondly, they are now defending the law as a tax, and at the same time trying to convince the public that the mandate is not a tax but a penalty.
John Robers put them into a tailspin as well and they hate him for the fact.
Many pass the Supreme Court off as the weakest branch of government and only care about the work they do when it comes to a decision that enflames the passion of the American people. If the courts docket was full of Abortion, Guns, and Health Care cases then the American people would care about the court, but we know that is not the case.
John Robers did something that we Libertarians do on a daily basis. We take in the best of both philosophies and put it into practice (Yes I know that Libertarianism is more than that).
With everything that happens in Washington on a daily basis we take for granted the work that the court does. Congress is corrupt, and the White House is corrupt. Approval ratings are dipping for those two branches and then we have the silent branch hiding behind the other two that can change the scope of this country with the stroke of a pen (or keyboard).
John Roberts has now earned his place in the history books with the health care ruling and has become more powerful than the President and the Congress. He now dictates the law and its meaning without really legislating from the bench. He is a force to be reckoned with and that angers both the Conservatives and Liberals in this country.

Entitled Hot Spots of Terrorism and Other Crimes in the United States, 1970-2008 (PDF), the study was produced by the National Consortium for the Study of Terrorism and Responses to Terrorism at the University of Maryland. The organization was launched with the aid of DHS funding to the tune of $12 million dollars.
It is a sad day in America when the federal government believes that citizens who exercise the 1st Amendment and believe in the ideas that created this country are terrorists then where have we come as a country?
What happened to the spirit of '76 when we challenged the authority of the state and brought forth a new brand of thinking that said people are their own and nobody controls what they do in their lives?
This is similar to a report a few years ago that was conducted by the State of Missouri, but when the Department of Homeland Security puts it stamp on this idea then all liberty has been lost. We no longer have a government that protects the rights of its people, which the Constitution compels them to do, but instead labels them enemies of the state.
We now live in a country that says loving and believing in the ideas of Liberty and Freedom are considered hostile acts. That the federal government will deal with these type of people because they the tyrannical power now feels threatened.
I grew up in this country believing that the government is good and that we have a Constitution that protects peoples rights to freedom and liberty, but as I have gotten older and learned more about the people that run Washington D.C. my image of a good government has died. I now see one that wishes to control its people by telling them what to do rather than encouraging them to fight for themselves.
Liberty is dead....
Rep. Kevin Brady, a Texas Republican, warns that the IRS will hire up to 16,500 new enforcers in the coming months to go after citizens who do not pay the new Obamacare tax. The expansion is said to include criminal investigators who “make cases” in order to levy penalties on scofflaws.
Brady cites a recent analysis by the Joint Economic Committee and staff at the House Ways and Means Committee. The report says the IRS will need a fresh crop of agents to examine and audit tax information mandated by Obama’s misnamed Affordable Care Act.
In January of 2011, Rep. Michele Bachmannclaimed the IRS planned to hire 16,500 IRS agents to police Obamacare compliance. CNN reported at the time that the number cited by the Minnesota Congresswoman originated in a GOP committee report, based on a preliminary estimate from the Congressional Budget Office.
“When most people think of health care reform they think of more doctors exams, not more IRS exams,” Brady said. “Isn’t the federal government already intruding enough into our lives? We need thousands of new doctors and nurses in America, not thousands more IRS agents.”We are now entering a police state and the American people will be in for a rude awakening.
While I might have seen the logic and agreed somewhat with the ruling by the Supreme Court that made the health care law a constitutional tax, it is going above and beyond to use IRS agents (cops) to force people to pay this tax.
Legally, I can see a challenged posed to make sure that the American people are protected from the scumbags that come out of the IRS. Taxing is one thing, but using armed agents to make sure you pay a tax that you don't agree with is a violation of natural rights that could be challenged in court.
